As the owner of Newport Veterinary Hospital, I am excited to meet you and your pets and to let you know what you can look forward to. I have had the good fortune to be an active, practicing veterinarian for the past 43 years. In those years, I have been an emergency care specialist, a general practitioner, an educator at the Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. and a consultant in special care to a 170-veterinary hospital group. Those experiences have allowed me to participate in many new advances in pet care and prevention. The staff and I will be adding these advances to your pet’s health care so that they can lead a long, healthy, pain-free, fun-filled life.

Dr. Emerson received her BA from Rice University, MS from Oregon State University, and graduated with honors from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2014, with a commitment to improving the lives of our companion creatures. She strives for respectful interactions with her patients and their people and has a gentle, compassionate touch. She is a member of the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors in the wild beauty of the Oregon coast.

Hello! My name is Rhyan, I am the clinic manager here at Newport Veterinary Hospital and have been working here for about 2 years. I moved to the Newport area about 5 years ago and am so happy to call this area home and to be a part of such a wonderful community. When I am not at work I am either out hiking or staying in with my four kitties. I am currently furthering my education in the veterinary field and am so excited to be a part of you and your fur baby’s journey!

Hi, I’m Jessica! I am one of the receptionists here at NVH! I’m currently studying at Penn Foster College to get my Veterinary Technician Certification! I have lived on the Oregon Coast for 12 years. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, going fishing, and on hikes! I look forward to meeting you, and helping take care of your fur babies!

My name is Kali and I am the Veterinary Assistant here at Newport Vet Hospital! I am originally from California but moved here in 2022. Since then I have been honored to be an advocate for our furry friends. I am currently pursuing further education in the veterinary field with Penn Foster.
